Why should I hire a writing consultant?
While you may have a network of friends and family members to give
you feedback, many of them do not have experience reading scripts and
evaluating what makes a screenplay truly effective and marketable.

Why do you charge so much money just to give me a little
feedback?
Actually, our rates are average for the feedback that we give you. The
process of providing you with quality feedback takes time. It can take
anywhere from a few hours to a few days to read your work, re-read your
work, write out notes, synopses, etc, add to our notes, proofread our
work, etc.
Our goal is to help you make your writing as strong as it can be, but Daz
Reading is a still business after all.
Will my writing be safe with you?
We take the privacy of your work very seriously. When you order one of
our services, you will have the option of receiving a Non-Disclosure
Agreement that legally protects the privacy of your script.
Will my information be safe with you?
As we use PayPal for online payments, they handle all of your
information and we do not have access to any of it. See PayPal's
privacy policy for details on how they handle your private information.
Can you guarantee that my writing will be published, sold,
optioned, a contest winner, etc?
No one can or should make that guarantee. All we can guarantee is that
we will do our best to provide you with quality work.
Do you work with short scripts?
Absolutely. While the above services are for feature-length scripts, we'll
be happy to work with you on scripts of any length.
Since the length of a short script can vary greatly, it was impossible to
set a price for it ahead of time. Simply email us with the length of your
script and the desired service and we will quote you a price within 24
hours.
Do you work with television scripts?
While our experience is primarily with screenplays, we can provide you
with useful feedback or editing for your television script. As with short
film scripts, email us with the length of your script and the desired
service and we will quote you a price within 24 hours.
We are not very familiar with the structure and formatting of a television
script, however. If this is what you need we may have to refer you to a
different service with comparable prices.
Do you work with stage plays?
While our background is primarily in academic writing, prose, poetry,
and screenplays, we can provide you with feedback or editing for your
stage play. However, we are not very familiar with the structure and
formatting of a stage play. If this is what you need we may have to refer
you to a different service with comparable prices.
How long will it take you to read my script and get it back to me?
The typical turnaround time for our services is one week, though it often
takes less time. If the job will extend beyond one week we will notify you
as soon as possible.
What is the process?
Once you decide upon a service, simply email the writing to us as an
attachment. We will email you as soon as we receive the script. From
there, we will send you a pay request via PayPal. Once the service has
been paid for, we will send you a confirmation email letting you know
when we will be starting the project and when we expect to finish it.
If the job will last more than one day, we will also send you daily progress
reports showing you where we are with your feedback. This will be an
opportunity to touch base with you and ask any questions that we may
have along the way.
